Instructions on how to upgrade coppermine gallery
It’s very important that fansite admins know how to manually update coppermine gallery. Below is a simple guide that most should be able to follow.
Warning- If you customized a default theme OR uploaded a “custom watermark” image be sure to backup those files before upgrading!
- Download coppermine gallery from http://coppermine-gallery.net/ (click big green download button)
- Extract the files using your favorite ZIP program
- Connect via FTP (or File Manager in cpanel) and upload the files over the old files (replace them) *NEVER DELETE THE ALBUMS FOLDER
- Run the update.php script (requires logging into gallery), it will be in your gallery directory.
That’s it, your coppermine gallery is now up to date!
