We don’t have many rules here at FreeFansiteHosting.com but we do require that you follow a couple!
- All free fansites must have 1 Adcode per page – We require this ad to be seen without scrolling. The ad size choice is yours! – Click Here to get the codes!. *Ads must not be modified with CSS or put next to images to “hide” them in the design of your website. ADS must have some padding between them and other theme content so users can see the advertisement easily.
- You must also link to FreeFansiteHosting.com, our Privacy Policy, and our DMCA policy on EVERY page of your fansite. This includes Coppermine Gallery, WordPress, Icons and anything else that you add.
- You CANNOT have ads on your site that are not ours. You CAN have referral links to places like Amazon but no banners.
- DO NOT use “free themes” from other hosts, they are meant for their hostee’s only. See our forum for free themes provided by our admins!
- Please do not put your site “under construction”. Any site that is open must remain open. “Maintenance Mode” is not allowed! – *This does not apply if you own your domain, but we do not recommend that you do it as it will hurt your search rankings.
- You are responsible to ensure your celebrity fansite doesn’t show pornography! You also CAN NOT upload photos containing:
- Strategically covered nudity.
- Sheer or see-through clothing.
- Lewd or provocative poses.
- Close-ups of breasts, buttocks, or crotches.
- You must update your fansite at least once a month (unless your celebrity has no updates). Accounts that appear to be abandoned will be put up for adoption or removed without warning. If you are going on extended vacation let us know! – *This does not apply if you own your domain.
- All accounts are unlimited space and unlimited bandwidth but this will be monitored closely and fansites abusing our free fansite hosting will be taken away.
- Hotlinking images from your account to another website is not allowed. We will disable hotlinking on any account causing too much bandwidth.
- You are not allowed to upload illegal or copyrighted files to our servers. Any that are added are subject to removal. Repeat offenders may have their accounts removed.
- You cannot upload illegal “full episodes” or “full movies” to our servers, you may also not link to any illegal files from our server. Fansites are meant for reporting news about celebrities, not offering illegal downloads of all videos they are in. We ask that you keep videos under 100 MB for free accounts. Paid Website Hosting offers up to 600 MB video files on the unlimited accounts and no limits on the Fanatic plan!!
- You are not allowed to forward any domain that we own to another website without our prior permission. Accounts doing so will be taken away without warning. This includes moving your gallery to another host. If we purchased your domain then you are expected to have a gallery on that domain.
- You are not allowed to add an “alias” domain to domains we own. If you purchase an additional domain the ONLY thing that is acceptable is if you forward your domain to ours. Alias domains create “duplicate websites” which is a very bad thing in the eyes of Google. If you want to own your domain then you should NOT ask us for a free one or adopt one we own!
- You give Free Fansite Hosting a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services. If you own your domain we will release this license if you leave our services.
- This statement above means if you ask us to purchase a domain then we “own” your site and you will not be able to transfer it or remove the content if you decide to stop updating it. We do give admins the option of purchasing a domain for any site they started for the costs we incurred since registering it.
Our Terms of Service can and will change at any time. It is your responsibility to periodically check this page for updates. Last updated on 3/2/2018. (added information about not using CSS to modify ads).
